Not too long ago, I threw out my old computer because it was running so slow; I didn"t realize there was anything I could do about it.
In my constant search for faster computing speeds, it appeared to me as though outright buying a new PC was the only real solution (however, at one time my "slow" system used to be fast).

If you have ever been discontented by a new computer that you purchased, where the running speed became successively weaker and weaker after several months, you can comprehend how I felt when I bought my new computer.
The processing speed of my computer was so slow thats tasks such as booting up, running windows and internet browsing were virtually impossible.
I learned, through my research of self-diagnosis options, that I could return my PC to "like new," without having to actually get a new computer.
There are 9 steps to speed up a slow computer:
1. Your top priority needs to be removing all Spyware from your computer.
2. For you to have the lastest security patches, do make sure that your version of Microsoft Windows updated.
3. Adjust the security settings in Internet Explorer(IE) if you use IE, but we prefer FireFox because it is not targeted by hackers and Phishers.
4. One of the leading reasons for slowdowns in your system during the startup phase is unnecessary programs in your startup menu, which accumulate rapidly; by removing any and all of these programs, you"ll get a much faster response.
5. Be sure to install and operate an effective Firewall program because Microsoft Firewall does not give the best protection.
6. I suggest that you never edit your computer"s registry on your own; it"s very important to make sure you have reliable help in doing this.
7. Defragmenting your hard drive will speed up all processes on your computer. It does this by arranging all scattered data chunks into a contiguous order which makes all programs run faster.
8. If your system includes an Anit-Virus program, make it your first priority to update the the files.
9. Make sure to uninstall any programs that you do not currently need or use because they take up resources and make your PC run slower.
