is my computer slow
A no cost computer download of the Secret To A Faster, Error-Free Computer
Completely unaware that it was possible to restore a computer to "out of the box" status, I discarded my computer because it was slow.
In my constant search for faster computing speeds, it appeared to me as though outright buying a new PC was the only real solution (strangely, this is the same system that felt screamingly fast when I first got it).

If you had the experience of excitement at the speed of your newly bought PC and after a few months feeling let down by the PC running slower and slower, then you would understand what happened to me when I bought a new PC.
My computer took a longer time than normal to go through the booting up process and slow down Internet speeds. It seems at times Windows would timeout while running some programs.
After I diagnosed these issues, I thought to myself "buying a new computer isn"t the answer". These were simple issues that I could solve myself to fix my computer to "like new".
Follow these 9 steps to speed up a slow computer:
1. If your computer is running slowly, first try removing the Spyware from your computer.
2. The newest updated version of Microsoft Windows contains the security patches you will need.
3. You must adjust some settings in IE for making your internet explorer secure. We recommend FireFox because IE has been the target of some hackers and phishers.
4. One of the leading reasons for slowdowns in your system during the startup phase is unnecessary programs in your startup menu, which accumulate rapidly; by removing any and all of these programs, you"ll get a much faster response.
5. If you are using the Firewall from Microsoft, make sure that you install another program that is more effective, because Microsoft Firewall program does not provide the best protection.
6. Getting a Reliable tool is very important; let it edit your computer"s registry rather than doing this very tiring work yourself.
7. When you defrag your computer all of the files get put into order so that your computer performance increases drastically.
8. If the computer comes equipped with an Anti-Virus program, you should run it and update the virus data files to ensure you are fully protected.
9. Uninstall any programs that you do not use, since they still consume resources and ultimately slow down your computer.
