6. For editing your computer registry yourself, it is recommended that you get a reliable tool for this extremely difficult task.

7. If you de-fragment your hard drive, you will re-arrange the scattered data chunks into a contiguous order. This will result in a more expedient file search and will in turn, increase your system speed and performance.

8. If your system was sent including an Anti-Virus program, bring the virus data files up to date.

9. Make sure to uninstall any programs that you do not currently need or use because they take up resources and make your PC run slower.
